Custom Laser Marking System Software
Graphics and CAD software like
CorelDRAWTM and
AutoCADTM are powerful packages but
don't always fit into retail or production environments.
Their complex user interfaces are geared toward creating
figures and drawings and can intimidate new employees.
This increases your training costs and can lower throughput.
What's often desired is a custom program that:
- provides a streamlined interface
- allows operators to select jobs by product or operation rather than file
- displays job information so it can be read from a distance
- provides bar code, time/date stamp, and serialization support
- can import job data from other computer systems
- creates activity logs
- automates repetitive tasks
We build upon our laser system integration experience to provide
software that reflects your way of doing things.
The following program shows one example of our custom marking software
that is being used to mark identifiers onto our customer's product in
production. This shows the main control panel for one of three
machines (A, B, and C) performing parallel production.
When the operator changes over to marking a different product they simply
click on Select Job and the following selection screen is displayed:
The operator simply selects a job, checks to see if it's the right one
by the job description, then clicks to accept the job. Back on the
main marking control panel, the next click on Start Marking sends
the first batch to be marked on the new job to the machine.
The operator doesn't have to hunt around for files on the PC and the part number
and time/date are filled in automatically. It doesn't get much
easier than this.
